Wow I can't believe it is Christmas Eve night. My kids are trying to go to sleep right now. Not working all that well either. They have a cousin staying over with us as well as one aunt, one uncle, and Grandma and Grandpa. Energy is HIGH.
I am almost scared to see what the morning will bring. Hubby is off to bed. He has to work at 6:30 AM. I feel bad he will miss the first glimpse of the Christmas tree and all it's glory. The good thing is Christmas dinner will be calm. One problem we did not bake any cookies for the man in red....I hope he will be OK with that one over site.
I am very happy to say my children have not missed the reason for the season! Ask any of them and they will tell you all about baby Jesus. We will be singing Happy birthday to him in the morning too. It is the first thing we do. Grandma will read the story of the Baby Jesus from the Bible.
I wish I could spend more time on this page tonight but I have things to go tonight. Hubby had to go to bed!
So Merry Christmas!!!

Rocky
Well Rocky is now a member of the family in more ways than I have time to post. I had a show tonight for Upper Case Living. I had a very good friend watching the girls. Her daughter is a afraid of large dogs. So Rocky spent the night in the garage.
Rocky has no idea he weighs 70 pounds now. He thinks he is about 10. He also thinks sitting on his favorite person is the best place to be. No I did not say lap. He sits on us. Legs, arms, laps are good, heaven help you if you where napping on the floor! The chest is a great shot for him to drop down on. So I had no problem with him being keep away from someone who is nervous around him.
When I came home and let him in, he put his paws up on me and sat there quietly. He just seemed to look me in the eye and say "I missed you. Don't ever leave me out there again." Normally he nips at our hands, whines, and runs around the room. We never pay attention to him during a "fit". He was so calm like he knew this is the way to get her/me to pay attention this time.
He chews EVERYTHING in the house. The girls toys come 1st. Stuffed animals and all Barbies are really made for dogs, did you know that? He also likes shoes, coat, paper towels, weball whables(sp), blankets, and pillows. Only the pillows, must be the daycare pillows. I have not fingered that one out yet. I know this is normally for a dog. I acutely have not had a problem with this because it keeps the house clean.
His affair with the car is becoming legendary. He loves to run but he loves the car more. If he gets off the leash, all we have to do to get him to come back is open the door of the car. This is because he only stays at home when we go to church. Yes you read that right. He comes with us everywhere we go. He has gone to the familt Thanksgiving three hours away. He also whent shoping with me on Black Friday. And he was good. He sat in the car. Well he did bark at anyone who came close to him. He can't be perfect.
He even went on the family shopping trip to buy new snows boots. He got treats each time we got back in the van. The best thing for hubby about this was, the girls did not want to stay in any store to long. Rocky might be lonely....now don't you think I saw this for what it really was????
Ladies don't let your husbands read this, or talk to my hubby. I am not sure how he figured it out but, The one way to shorten a girl's shopping trip....keep something in the car you will worry about more and want to rush back to check on. The girls had no time for toys.
(I on the other hand was worring about the car seats. Oh my it worked on me to!!!!!)
He has also been to the grocery store. He jump out of the car there. I thought for sure he would get hit. Then the light bulb went on, open the car door! I chased him around the parking lot for 23 minutes before I thought of this simple little thing. I swear if dogs smile.........
He was He jump right back in like OK where to now?
I am sure anyone watching got a good laugh out of the dog out smarting me. We ran around mini vans. I would run the opposite way I though he was going. My thinking, I would catch him around a corner. ya right. I know I saw one man laugh at the dog standing behind me while I waited for him to dart around the side.
He also loves it when the girls take baths. We have to keep the doors shut. If he gets in the room he sticks his WHOLE head under the bathwater. Otter said he even blew bubbles one time. Now I am not so sure about that one. I have seen him go bobbing after a Barbie. Now it is just the norm for Rocky to be as wet as the girls after a bath.
Who knew this dog would be so lovably weird.
I believe at the end of this dog's life years and years from now
The book Marley and Me will have nothing on Rocky and Us.

God's busy
My Aunt Martha sent this to me and I had to laugh out loud about it. I just loved this email. I know this is the second email I have posted. I don't know who reads this blog but I thought this just might be a better place to post than sending out another that just might end up in the spam.
So here it is...I am not sure but God may have laughed too? You will have to post and tell me what you think.
God's Busy If you don't know GOD, don't make stupid remarks!!!!!!!
A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan . One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU .One day the professor shocked the class when he came in he looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, 'God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes.'
The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop.Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, 'Here I am God. I'm still waiting.' It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him, knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold. The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked, stunned, and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, 'What the heck is the matter with you? Why did you do that?'
The Marine calmly replied, 'God was too busy today protecting American soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like an idiot. So, He sent me.'
And all God's people said -- AMEN

an email Iliked
Okay I got this email today and I really liked it. It reminds me of my mom and when we lived in South Carolina. Only they would not give welfare to someone in the military. Yep we where POOR! So enjoy and pray....I think our world needs it more than ever.
Smiles!
September 1960, I woke up one morning with six hungry babies and just 75 cents in my pocket. Their father was gone. The boys ranged from three months to seven years; their sister was two. Their Dad had never been much more than a presence they feared. Whenever they heard his tires crunch on the gravel driveway they would scramble to hide under their beds. He did manage to leave $15 a week to buy groceries. Now that he had decided to leave, there would be no more beatings, but no food either. If there was a welfare system in effect in southern Indiana at that time, I certainly knew nothing about it.
I scrubbed the kids until they looked brand new and then put on my best homemade dress, loaded them into the rusty old 51 Chevy and drove off to find a job. The seven of us went to every factory, store and restaurant in our small town.
No luck.
The kids stayed crammed into the car and tried to be quiet while I tried to convince who ever would listen that I was willing to learn or do anything. I had to have a job.
Still no luck.
The last place we went to, just a few miles out of town, was an old Root Beer Barrel drive-in that had been converted to a truck stop. It was called the Big Wheel. An old lady named Granny owned the place and she peeked out of the window from time to time at all those kids. She needed someone on the graveyard shift, 11 at night until seven in the morning. She paid 65 cents an hour, and I could start that night.
I raced home and called the teenager down the street that baby-sat for people. I bargained with her to come and sleep on my sofa for a dollar a night. She could arrive with her pajamas on and the kids would already be asleep. This seemed like a good arrangement to her, so we made a deal. That night when the little ones and I knelt to say our prayers, we all thanked God for finding Mommy a job. And so I started at the Big Wheel. When I got home in the mornings I woke the baby-sitter up and sent her home with one dollar of my tip money-- fully half of what I averaged every night.
As the weeks went by, heating bills added a strain to my meager wage. The tires on the old Chevy had the consistency of penny balloons and began to leak. I had to fill them with air on the way to work and again every morning before I could go home.
One bleak fall morning, I dragged myself to the car to go home and found four tires in the back seat. New tires! There was no note, no nothing, just those beautiful brand new tires.
Had angels taken up residence in Indiana? I wondered.
I made a deal with the local service station. In exchange for his mounting the new tires, I would clean up his office. I remember it took me a lot longer to scrub his floor than it did for him to do the tires. I was now working six nights instead of five and it still wasn't enough.
Christmas was coming and I knew there would be no money for toys for the kids ... I found a can of red paint and started repairing and painting some old toys. Then I hid them in the basement so there would be something for Santa to deliver on Christmas morning. Clothes were a worry too. I was sewing patches on top of patches on the boys pants and soon they would be too far gone to repair.
On Christmas Eve the usual customers were drinking coffee in the Big Wheel. There were the truckers, Les, Frank, and Jim, and a state trooper named Joe. A few musicians were hanging around after a gig at the Legion and were dropping nickels in the pinball machine. The regulars all just sat around and talked through the wee hours of the morning and then left to get home before the sun came up. When it was time for me to go home at seven o'clock on Christmas morning, to my amazement, my old battered Chevy was filled full to the top with boxes of all shapes and sizes.
I quickly opened the driver's side door, crawled inside and kneeled in the front facing the back seat. Reaching back, I pulled off the lid of the top box. Inside was whole case of little blue jeans, sizes 2-10! I looked inside another box: It was full of shirts to go with the jeans. Then I peeked inside some of the other boxes. There was candy and nuts and bananas and bags of groceries. There was an enormous ham for baking, and canned vegetables and potatoes. There was pudding and Jell-O and cookies, pie filling and flour. There was whole bag of laundry supplies and cleaning items. And there were five toy trucks and one beautiful little doll. As I drove back through empty streets as the sun slowly rose on the most amazing Christmas Day of my life, I was sobbing with gratitude. And I will never forget the joy on the faces of my little ones that precious morning.
Yes, there were angels in Indiana that long-ago December. And they all hung out at the Big Wheel truck stop....
THE POWER OF PRAYER. I believe that God only gives three answers to prayer:
1. 'Yes!'
2. 'Not yet.'
3. 'I have something better in mind..'
God still sits on the throne. You maybe going through a tough time right now but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that you cannot imagine. This prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let's continue to pray for one another.
Here is the prayer:.... Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and email buddies reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power.
Amen.

Baby funny
Well I just saw how late it is....
I told the baby OK it's really late. We need to go to bed. She told me
"no, it's not bed to clock"
Well, that tells me! lol

A new Family member!
WOW what a week we have had. They whole family is getting use to someone new. His name is Rocky he is a Golden Retriever and about a year old. Hubby and I have been looking for a dog to fit us. We had all these things the dog had to be able to do. (Pretty much we wanted a person in a dog suite. LOL)
We had the type of dogs down to a Boykin or a Small Munsterlander. both are rare dogs and cost about $1000. Well as you may understand the gas tank calls more loudly in this days and age. The cost of the dogs was a little silly to us. So we pushed the idea to the back burner to take care of other things.
We did however keep talking about what we wanted and did not want in a dog. Here is our list.
1. good with large numbers of small children (daycare)
2. potty trainable
3. a hunter
4. walk on a leash with manners
5. good with children
6. will stay close to home
7. not shed to much (all dogs shed, some more than others)
Okay we got some of this list. I will get to that later. You who know this breed are already laughing at me. Any of you who have ever owned a dog, are rolling on the floor.
Here is Rocky's story.
Hubby went to talk to the 4h lady about the two dogs we where looking into. While hubby and the 4h lady talked she mentioned a stray that needed a home. The dog was out at a farm and had been there for about three weeks. There was talk about taking him to the shelter.
Hubby went to take a look without telling me. Calls me up and says Lisa there is this dog and goes on to explain the jam this little guy was in. OK you all know, I am a sucker for big sad puppy eyes. That was all I could see in my head.
I told hubby to make sure he could take this dog home once the girls saw him. And to make SURE he could come home with us before we went to see him. After three more trips, and some hot dogs we loaded up the girls to met the dog.
We got out of the super mini (VAN) and this SKINNY golden mess comes running straight for the baby. They chased each other around. We took food out of his mouth. We played ball. We watched the cuddle bug wrestle with him. We sat by and watched the baby turned on the Farmers golf chart and drive 5". That was a new one for us. By the way I do have to tell you, the kind farmer who was letting the dog hang out at his house had been feeding him. He said you would not believe how much weight he had already put on. I wondered what that could look like but I am glad I did not.
Well we all agreed he need a good home and we happen to have one without a dog. What a fit. You should have seen the girls faces when we ask if we should take him home. So we tyred to put him in the van.
He was under weight at 61lbs. You would think that would be no big deal to get the dog in the van. Ya right, not if it wiggles! A LOT!
Anyway the 1st night he sleep on the floor in the bathroom of our room. He now sleeps on my side of the bed on the floor. He cry if he can't see me. We tyred to put him in with Otter. She so wanted him to sleep with her. He was not allowed on the basement cough. By the end of the week, he really loves to sleep on the left side. He also likes to sleep in front of the firer place on the tile. There is no fire in it yet. He also sleep on the treadmill I never use. That is one costly dog bed. Right now he is sleeping next to me. Guess who he loves? I can tell you Otter really thought he would be her buddy.
He got his shots. He likes to run so he is getting a surgery in three weeks. The vet says he is in great health. He is about a year old. And I am hoping no one comes to looking for him. I have looked on the net and in the papers. No news yet.
He fits into our family so well. The daycare kids are ruff on him. He just moves. He stays right with me so he is never alone with them. The BEST part of this is he is house trained!!!! He does shed. He has no manners when it comes to walking. My arms feel like I have been on the rack. Did I mention he LOVES to run? The minutes he gets the door open and free shot, gone. On Friday I ran after him about 4 times. One of the daycare dads even let him go.
I will post a picture later. He has the sweetest eyes. I believe he will be with us a long long time.
The next time I will tell you about his name. I have to run to get some juice right now for the baby.

Faith
I am so tired right now. I started reading this blog about 11:00. I stopped reading it about 3:30. I was so moved by this blog. I have not been good at sharing my faith. I seem to think the people around already love God as I do. This was something that I felt connected to. Why?
When I was pregnant with the baby there was a worry it was not a good thing for me. After Cuddle Bug was born we where told not to have another child. We both felt our family was not complete. So we went to a specialist to see if there was a chance for one more baby. We got the OK.
I have a very thin uterus. It was in bad shape after baby#1 and 2. It also ended up my balder and uterus had grown together from baby#1. The balder was damaged from the growing uterus stretching it. I told my doctor how much pain I was in all the time. I was told over and over it was ligaments with #2.
The pregnancy was hard and long. I know by the end I was tired of all the pain. I was tired of worrying was that pain really something to worry about? Would my uterus stay in once piece until the end? What if it tore and I did not make it to the hospital in time? What would happen to me, the baby, the girls, and Tony? Was I being foolish in thinking I could have another child?
There was even a question of what would be done if my life was in danger. It was stressful but nothing like what Angie has gone threw.
I was blessed to have hubby and my mother-in-law with me. I was blessed I went home with a healthy child. I was blessed and I am not sure my faith was as Strong.
If you read this blog, please let me know.
I pray you all will have your faith strength. I pray you seen the wisdom in the grass being green due to there being a lot of rain. I pray God will touch you as he has touched me.
